Lakes Entrance Regional Historical Society, History Centre and Museum commenced operation in 1977 as the Tambo Historical Society. In 2000 the Lakes Entrance History Centre & Museum opened in the former Johnsonville school building, now located at 4 Marine Parade, Lakes Entrance. Can you help?

We are looking for items relating to our local history. If you have any old diaries, letters, business papers or even newspapers and magazines, we would love to hear from you. And of course, photographs and old artefacts of any description are always of interest.

While all donations are very gratefully received, we would just like to know what’s out there, to talk about the history and know where the treasures are.

Open other times by arrangement.
Special groups catered for.
